Fabrizio Lello—Singing for the Sheer Joy of It

Fabrizio Lello is a natural—and his love of his audience and his craft light up the stage. But before Scientology, performing was a struggle. His profile is one of 200 “Meet a Scientologist” videos available on the Scientology website at www.scientology.org.

Fabrizio Lello doesn’t just sing—he shines. His contagious élan and love of life make any audience smile. But shyness made performing a burden and entertaining an ordeal—before Scientology.

“My brothers knew about Scientology and they suggested we go to the Church,” he says. “They wanted me to succeed, and they had the idea it could help. They were right.”

While on the Scientology Communication Course, Lello gained the self-confidence he needed to carry on with his career. Then Scientology spiritual counseling removed the last of the emotional barriers and tapped into a natural ability he never knew he possessed.

“One day, after a Scientology counseling session, I performed a concert with my band. We began as usual, but we all noticed the difference—I was having the time of my life, and my enthusiasm spread through the entire group and right into the audience. We were playing better than ever before, and the audience was having a ball. At the end, the band asked me ‘What did you do?’ and my answer was ‘Scientology.’”

And the magic didn’t fade when the lights went down—the ability he regained that day has become his hallmark.

No longer beset by problems and worries, Lello became fascinated by the people and world around him. With his wife and son he strives to be the best possible husband and father, and he participates in Scientology-sponsored humanitarian campaigns to help the community in his native Milan.

“To me, being a Scientologist is not just about yourself or your own spirituality—it’s about taking responsibility to make things better where you are,” he says. “I believe together we can create a better future, and that’s what I try to convey with my songs.”
