Scientologist Mikkel Jørck

Third-generation Danish Scientologist Mikkel Jørck is raising his children with Scientology principles and raising the bar on the quality of life for his family and community.

“My parents were Scientologists, and my grandfather helped bring the Scientology religion to Denmark in the early 1960s, but that didn’t automatically make me a Scientologist,” says Jørck who began studying Scientology in his teens. “Scientology helped me get through my problems as a teenager and answered the question I had about life and my own spirituality.”

Shy as a teenager, through his Scientology studies Jørck become relaxed about meeting new people and communicating to others no matter the circumstance. And he credits Scientology with the success of his marriage with wife Rikke and raising his family.

“I have a wonderful marriage and no matter what kind of stress or upset occurs, we always have tools to resolve it and keep our relationship fresh and loving,” he says.

The couple has two children—Oliver, 8, and Junie, 10—and in his video on www.scientology.org, Jørck describes how Scientology has helped him as a father.

“Sometimes the kids get tired and out of sorts,” he says. “I use the techniques in the book Self Analysis by L. Ron Hubbard and in three or four minutes they are smiling and laughing again.”

Jørck, 35, is a Scientology spiritual counselor. From his staff position at the Church of Scientology of Denmark, he reaches out to others to help them achieve the benefits he has received from his religion.

“I feel really alive,” he says. “I am highly interested in life and people. And the future looks great to me, because no matter what problems people encounter, I know I can help them.”
