The Problems of Work, a 66-minute filmed presentation of L. Ron Hubbard’s book of the same title, has been awarded for exceptional achievement in craft and creativity in the category of educational and instructional films.

The Problems of Work movie was honored Wednesday, June 1, with an Indie Fest Award of Merit for educational and instructional films. The film is a 66-minute book on film of The Problems of Work: Scientology Applied to the Workaday World by L. Ron Hubbard.

Produced by Golden Era Productions, central dissemination center of the Scientology religion, The Problems of Work movie was drawn directly from the pages of L. Ron Hubbard’s book, illustrating basic Scientology principles for use in everyday life.

“All eight of the individual film chapters vividly illustrate the book’s principles and demonstrate its procedures for immediate application,” says Catherine Fraser, Director of Public Affairs for Golden Era Productions. “It contains the senior principles and laws that apply to every endeavor, every problem of work—discoveries which lay bare the core of these problems and explain the very fabric of life itself.”

Among these Scientology principles are the triangle of Affinity, Reality and Communication, which are the Components of Understanding; the Anatomy of Confusion; the Anatomy of Control; the Secret of Efficiency; and the underlying mental and spiritual reasons for exhaustion and their remedy.

The film is also the centerpiece of an introductory Scientology course offered in every Scientology Church and Mission.

To make the knowledge broadly available, this DVD has further been translated and produced in 15 languages.

Judged by highly qualified film industry professionals, the Indie Fest recognizes filmmakers who produce fresh, standout entertainment, animation and compelling documentaries.
