The foundation forms alliances with schools, churches, government agencies, police departments, and sports teams and is well on its way to accomplishing its target of training 6,000 youth volunteers in South Africa in 2015, spreading the word on the Truth About Drugs curriculum throughout their communities.

“The drug issue is not going to be addressed by one organization alone,” said Maurithus Meiring, Director of Special Affairs of the Church of Scientology Pretoria and Coordinator of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Africa. “But if we all stand together, we will be stronger, more effective, and we can create a drug-free Africa.”

"If we all stand together, we will be stronger, more effective, and we can create a drug-free Africa"

The Church of Scientology of Pretoria in South Africa launched the province-wide Truth About Drugs initiative for Gauteng with the slogan, “Reach Kids Before the Dealers Do.”

Inspired by the words of L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of the Scientology religion, that “a being is only as valuable as he can serve others,” Scientologists wholeheartedly support these initiatives. Participation and collaboration is invited and welcomed from all who seek to improve conditions for themselves and others.
